Peanut Butter

This recipe makes a delicious, creamy peanut butter. It's easy to make and healthier than store bought. Spread it on your toast or use it in another recipe.

Ingredients

For the peanut butter
400 g peanuts, shelled

Optional ingredients
0.5 Tbsp vegetable oil
  salt, to taste


Instructions

STEP 1/3

Preheat the oven to 170ºC.
Line the baking tray with parchment paper.

STEP 2/3

Add the shelled peanuts to the large baking tray.
Roast the peanuts at 170ºC for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

STEP 3/3

Transfer 30 g of the roasted peanuts to the ThermoResist Glass Blender.
Assemble the ThermoResist Glass Blender attachment to the machine.
Attach the lid and ensure it is securely closed.
Blend on speed 1 for 10 seconds until roughly chopped.
Transfer the chopped peanuts to a medium bowl and set aside.

 

Transfer the remaining roasted peanuts into the ThermoResist Glass Blender.
Add the oil and salt (both optional) into the ThermoResist Glass Blender.
Attach the lid and ensure it is securely closed.
Insert the stir stick.
Blend on speed Max for 1 minute until smooth using the stir stick.
Transfer the mixture into the medium bowl.
Stir with a spoon to combine with the roughly chopped peanuts.
Transfer the peanut butter into a plastic container or a jar.
