Welsh Rarebit

A dish consisting of crusty bread and ham topped with a savoury melted cheese sauce, finished with more cheese, then grilled until bubbling and golden. Make this vegetarian by leaving out the ham and using a vegetarian worcestershire sauce.

  1. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Pre-heat in grill
  4. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  5. Add English mustard, worcestershire sauce, ale, chilli powder and salt & pepper to the kCook bowl
  6. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  7. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  8. Grate cheddar cheese into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  9. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  10. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  11. Cook with filler cap removed - 8 min, 80°C, speed 4
  12. Add bread slices to a clean baking sheet
  13. Grill until golden brown - 1 min 30 sec
  14. Top with sliced ham
  15. Transfer cheese mixture to bread
  16. Spread evenly with tablespoon
  17. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
  18. Grill until golden brown - approx 2 min, 200°C
  19. Serve
