Ingredients
- 150g (5oz) butter
- 150g (5oz) light muscovado sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2.5ml (. tsp) vanilla essence
- 175g (6oz) self-raising flour
- 50g (2oz) stoneless dates, roughly chopped
- 50g (2oz) sultanas or raisins
- 40g (1.oz) walnuts, chopped
For the sticky toffee sauce:
- 50g (2oz) light brown muscovado sugar
- 50g (2oz) butter
- 100ml (3.fl oz) double cream
