The product is tested in two ways to determine wattage rating. An independent testing lab provides the approved base line power rating which is 800W. The other measurement of 1000W is the locked motor power. This is often referred to as the maximum power, indicating the motor\'s capacity to go beyond normal usage and briefly achieve a peak of 1000W.
