Easter Nest Cake

This cake is a bit different from normal Easter cake but it’s a tasty break from chocolate. We’ve used small Easter eggs to decorate our cake, but you can use anything you like.

225 g sucre fin
225 g beurre, cubed, softened
275 g farine ordinaire
3.5 tsp. poudre à lever
4  oeuf
1 tsp. extrait de vanille
2 Tbsp. lait


250 g beurre, cubed, softened


500 g sucré glace
1 tsp. extrait de vanille
2 Tbsp. lait


  flocons de noix de coco grillés, as needed

  • Knife Blade
  • Stir Tool

Utensiles

  • 1 Ring cake mould

Instructions

ÉTAPE 1/6

Pre-heat the oven to 170°C

Grease the ring cake mould

Fit the Knife Blade to the CookEasy + Bowl

Attach the CookEasy+ Bowl to the machine

ÉTAPE 2/6

Add Ingredients 1 (sugar, butter, flour, baking powder, egg, vanilla, milk) into the CookEasy+ bowl

Attach the lid and ensure the Filler cap is fitted

Mix on speed 12 for 2 minutes

Transfer the batter into the mould

Bake at 170°C for 50 minutes

Turn the cake out on to a cooling rack

ÉTAPE 3/6

Retrieve, clean the CookEasy+ bowl and fit the Stir Tool

Add Ingredients 2 (butter) into the bowl

Attach the lid and ensure the Filler cap is fitted

Mix on speed 6 for 1 minute

ÉTAPE 4/6

Add Ingredients 3 (sugar, vanilla, milk) into the CookEasy+ bowl

Mix on speed 12 for 2 minutes

Spread the icing on the cake, making sure to cover the whole cake

ÉTAPE 5/6

Add Ingredients 4 (coconut flakes) to the cake

ÉTAPE 6/6

Layer the flakes onto the cake, starting at the bottom and working your way up until the cake if covered
