Chocolate chip cookies

For a special flavour you can add powdered cinnamon or orange zest to the dough. Turn them into dessert by sandwiching ice cream between two cookies.

100 g brown sugar
100 g butter, cubed, room temperature
90 g sugar
210 g plain flour
1 pinch salt
0.75 tsp baking powder
1  egg
130 g chocolate chips, plus extra to finish, as needed

Instructions

STEP 1/2

Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Fit the K-Beater.
Add brown sugar, butter, sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, egg and 130 g chocolate chips into the Appliance bowl.
Mix for 2 minutes on speed 1, until combined.
Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and form into a log, about 5 cm in diameter.
Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

STEP 2/2

Preheat the oven to 160ºC.
Remove the plastic wrap and slice the chilled dough into 0.5 cm discs.
Transfer the sliced dough onto a baking tray.
Add chocolate chips on top of the dough.
Bake for 15 minutes at 160ºC, until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool.

 

Serve.
